Whether you are feeling anxious, stressed, depressed or adjusting to life's stressors, I provide one-on-one therapy with compassion and an unbiased perspective. Talk therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy, and Brainspotting can be utilized in sessions for greater results.
With extensive training in Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), I help couples explore the negative cycles that leave them feeling stuck and provide awareness in breaking predictable patterns. Also provide support with attachment injuries and emotional repairs when broken trust or breakdowns in communication occurs.
Working with nuclear and blended families (including military families) to develop the best possible outcomes during situational stressors, life transitions, power struggles, and preparation/reunification regarding deployments.
Emotional Focused Therapy puts emotional experiences and reactions front and center. It is based on Attachment Theory and the importance it places on connection to others as a source to feelings of comfort and safety, fostering a vehicle for growth and development. Focus on the specific cycle in your relationship, predictability, and common themes affecting emotional safety in relationships.
Brainspotting (BSP) is a powerfully focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological discomforts of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms through fixating on specific eye positions. Each "brainspot" is linked to uncover areas of the brain that retain thoughts and emotions stored from past negative associations and traumas.
How you identify, speak, and relate in the world is primarily made up in the beliefs attributed to other's thoughts, expectations, and influences throughout your life. You are capable of amazing things and focusing on new lenses and your impact on the world changes through awareness of these learned beliefs and replacing with more accurate and updated versions of your self, relationships, and environments.
Life is a series of adjustments and transitions, some more difficult than others. Divorce, moving, death of a loved one, or conflict with co-workers undoubtedly affect your quality of life. Learn effective communication skills, setting boundaries, coping skills, and increasing your self care while navigating these varied stressors.
